Eve certainly has the potential. Just look at the wonderful and flawless* upgrade to the game engine they've just made. And soon CCP is adding Avatars. What's next? Planetfall? And after that? Well, its an entire universe - the prospects are infinite.
*I was lucky I was away for a trip during the patch day and didn't get my boot.ini so innocently rubbed out

EVE Online "Trinity" Patch Delayed 24 Hours
The EVE Online Trinity v1.1 patch has been delayed for 24 hours according to the official site:
Trinity 1.1: Boost patch has been postponed by 24 hours due to extra time needed for testing. We will go ahead with deployment on Wednesday, 12 March from 02:00 to 16:00 GMT. That is, same time, just different day.
Meanwhile, please make sure you check the patch notes to see what will come in the Boost patch.
